Burnout Mode is a special feature that is tailored towards serious drag racing applications. In Burnout Mode, the transmission will always shift based on the WOT (wide open throttle) shift point values, regardless of throttle position. The purpose of this mode is to prevent premature upshifts when the throttle is adjusted to maintain a constant tire speed during burnouts or when the throttle is feathered to minimize wheel-standing or tire spin during launch. Keep your engine in the power band while heating up the hides.
